Kelly Dwyer’s Body Found After Missing Since 2013
The search for missing Wisconsin woman Kelly Dwyer has ended, but on a somber note. Her body was reportedly found earlier this month in a rural part of Jefferson County. The Times Union reports that the skeletal remains have been positively identified as the missing woman, and now an investigation into her death is underway. There aren’t many details accommodating the grim discovery, but the general details in this case indicate that the once-missing woman could have fallen victim to foul play.
WSAW-TV News reports that Dwyer was last seen in October of 2013. Surveillance footage show that she went to her boyfriend’s home — a lakefront apartment — but she was never seen exiting the apartment. It’s because of this strange fact that Kris Zocco has remained a person of interest in his girlfriend’s disappearance since she was reported missing. However, now that she’s been confirmed dead, will he remain a POI?
Kris Zocco is the boyfriend of the once-missing woman, and he was arrested not long after her disappearance on charges associated with child pornography. He’s since been convicted of those charges, and now that Kelly Dwyer’s body has been found, he may be facing more charges.

While the public awaits more information, people are taking to social media to express their thoughts about Dwyer’s death. Her case gripped the media and became a high profile spectacle in 2013, but interest dwindled as the months crawled by with no information — especially after Zocco was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography. The longer Kelly Dwyer stayed missing, the the less her case was covered by the media, until the grim discovery of her skeletal remains this month.
How did Kelly Dwyer die? Right now authorities are awaiting a full autopsy to be completed on the woman before it’s determined with full certainty if she was slain or not. If this once-missing woman was murdered, it will be up to them to find out exactly who did it so they can be brought to justice.
