Wendy Williams Disses Ciara’s New Songs On-Air: ‘Nobody Cares!’

As you probably know, Wendy Williams is known to be a bit outspoken and opinionated. It seems as though, amid Ciara’s new relationship, Wendy disses her songs on-air.

The Wendy Williams Show typically draws an energized crowd. Yet, unlike many talk-shows, Williams’ show is seemingly about trash talk and gossip. Well, actually, most talk-shows are about the same things, right? Nevertheless, this episode seemed to start on a light note. After heckling his nose, the topic was Ciara’s new relationship with Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks’ quarterback.

Wendy talked about how Russell wasn’t serious about their relationship due to his body language. Williams mentioned that the body always tells the truth, whether that’s fact or fiction. However, she goes on to say that Ciara is a nice piece of arm candy for Wilson, given that he’s fresh out of a marriage himself, noting that “it’s a good look for him.”

Yet, though things about Ciara’s new man were lighter and gleeful, she didn’t offer the same vibe about Ciara’s songs. In a moment of seriousness, Wendy is quoted as follows.

“Ciara… and you know I love you… you know I love you, Ciara, but nobody cares about your music. [Audience offers mixed responses] Doesn’t she have a new album or song out that nobody’s talking about?? Nobody cares! [A Ciara fan speaks up] Well, you’re the only one who cares. You’re the only one.”

However, it’s not all bad. Williams cleans up in the next few statements, addressing Ciara as a model.

“You know what I care about with Ciara? I care about her signing a lucrative modeling contract. She is one of the most beautiful women on the planet, and she’s sweet as pie. And she’s been taking allocution lessons. So, she’s a real good talker now. And I think she should take advantage of all that and leave that music alone.”

Wendy goes on to mention that Ciara shouldn’t date celebrity males but should rather find a good listener, similar to Kimora Lee Simmons’ husband, who is an investment banker named Tim Leissener.

Yet, at the end of Williams’ Ciara rant, she does offer a light apology, “Sorry, Ciara.”
