I LOVE it.

Ok, ok… OSX is nicer than Vista – anything is better than Vista. We know that. But this video highlights what has frustrated a lot of people (yes, even “Mac people”) for years – that you have to pay 2 to 2 1/2 times the price in order to get OSX on a Mac. Sorry – it's a better OS, but the machines themselves are no longer better – they run the same hardware as a typical PC!

Exactly. Everyone knows that PCs can be cheaper. Macs are never budget pcs, they're fashion statements. Just like a Prada bag is not worth $800, a 13″ MB Air isn't worth $2,300…

And OSX isn't even necessarily better than Vista – depends on how you think and what you need to use it for. OSX frustrates the heck out of me, because most of the advanced stuff is well hidden or locked in OSX… Windows has a lot of customizability available if you are intelligent enough EG Can you view a list of each and EVERY hardware device on your computer, see which ones have drivers that need updating or don't exist, or what hardware is malfunctioning in OSX? (device manager in Windows) Sometimes certain problems can't be traced very easily, and this helps!

you are right lauren, you aren't cool enough for a mac, because you don't know the difference. this is not an apples to apples comparison…not by a long shot.

You can't drive Mac to the beach, last I checked. For some people, the computer is an appliance like a toaster. In that case, cheaper is better.

Exactly, Ted. You can always run down to the store and get a new toaster/PC when yours goes splat in a month or two.
