‘Fallout 4’ Reveal Rumored For E3 Includes Lengthy Gameplay Video

Who’s ready for another Fallout 4 rumor? The latest is that a new iteration of highly anticipated role-playing game will finally be revealed by Bethesda Softworks at this year’s E3 conference in June. Set your Pip Boy 3000 to “grain of salt” and read on for the details.

German site PC Games (via NeoGAF) claims that an industry insider Bethesda Softworks contacts will be revealed by the publisher during its E3 press conference. A 20 to 30 minute gameplay video is also mentioned, but there are conflicting reports on whether this will be shown at the press conference or behind closed doors.

PC Games‘ source also states that Fallout 4 will not make a 2015 release, either. Of course, few expected Bethesda to release the game this year, so a 2016 or later release would not be particularly surprising.

As previously reported by Inquisitr, this will be Bethesda Softworks’ first E3 press conference. Naturally, the announcement spurned copious amounts of discussion about what will be revealed.

“We’re hosting our first-ever E3 Showcase in Hollywood, CA on June 14th and we’ve saved some seats just for you, our fans,” the publisher announced. “Feel like a celebrity by attending our most exciting event yet, live and in-person! Keep an eye out – in the coming months we’ll be sharing details on how you can register to attend.”

Doom 4, which was shown behind closed doors at QuakeCon last year, and the free-to-play BattleCry, are obvious picks to appear. While a Dishonored sequel is possible as well, nothing would justify a full-blown E3 press conference like a Fallout 4 reveal.

Still, rumors about Fallout 4 have persisted like a bad cold since the release of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim five years ago. There have been rumors suggesting that the game will be set in a post-apocalyptic Boston. This eventually ran into flat out hoaxes teasing reveals that never happened.

It’s because of these long-standing rumors and hoaxes that any new rumors about Fallout 4 tend to raise suspicions more than they raise eyebrows. It’s hard to deny the fact though that Bethesda Softworks hosting its first E3 press conference suggests a big reveal and it would be hard to top a next-gen Fallout.

We’ll just have to wait and see what appears on stage at E3 from Bethesda on June 14.
