Awesome Officer: New Orleans Dancing Cop Videos Go Viral In Sea Of Police Brutality Coverage [Video]

Videos of one particular New Orleans police officer are going viral, but not for the reason you may expect. The dancing cop can be seen doing the Wobble and Cupid Shuffle during Mardi Gras, and immediately became an internet sensation with many noting his pretty impressive moves. Though the videos were uploaded in 2014, there has been a surge in views within the past few months as the internet has been inundated with images of police brutality. It seems that amidst growing police abuse concerns, there are still many out there trying to showcase the good that still lies within those in the profession of public safety.

In the video above, you can watch as the officer, donning his officer yellow police vest, does the Wobble with some Mardi Gras celebrators. The crowd goes crazy for the grey-haired cop, who can be seen shaking it with the others in the middle of the street. The police officer is joined by a fellow female officer, and the pair continue through the entire song with ease.

However, it seems the dancing New Orleans police officer doesn’t just know how to Wobble. Another video posted to YouTube shows the same officer doing the Cupid Shuffle.

The officer, still wearing his signature yellow police vest, sees the Cupid Shuffle taking place on the side of the street and immediately joins in. He looks down at the women’s feet around him and joins in with ease.

From the Wobble to the Cupid Shuffle, this police officer proves that there are still some really great cops out there engaging with the community in a positive manner.
