Tiger Woods And Lindsey: Sleepless Nights Had By Tiger After Lindsey Vonn Split, Dad’s Death Anniversary
Tiger Woods says his split from Lindsey Vonn has caused him some sleepless nights. The pro-golfer recently called things off with Vonn, which was shocking to many, and while their break-up has been super hard on him, it couldn’t have come at a worst time. Woods’ dad, Earl Woods, passed away nine years ago Sunday (May 3).
“It is tough, there’s no doubt. I’m not going to lie about that. It is tough. And on top of that, this time of year is really, really hard on me. This three-day window is really hard. I haven’t slept these three days, May 3rd and through the 5th, today, is just brutal on me. And then with obviously what happened on Sunday, it just adds to it.”
The split from Lindsey Vonn, those sleepless nights, and the anniversary of his father’s death could have a negative impact on his golf game, which is something Woods is trying to avoid. With the Players Championship starting on Thursday, the golfer has a lot on his plate right now. He knows that he needs to clear his mind and that he needs to get in the zone.
“Once you’re inside the ropes, it’s time to tee it up and time to play. You go out there, and for me I focus, I get into my little world, my little zone and do the best I possibly can for that — well, it used to be four hours; now it’s five-hour rounds — a five-hour time period, grind it out and win golf tournaments. Because at the end, to me, that’s what I want to do that particular week, is win a tournament.”
According to Yahoo! Sports, Tiger Woods is having a hard time with his split from Vonn. The two dated for three years, and many thought that they were on the road to marriage.
The break-up announcement was made by Vonn on social media over the weekend. It came just weeks after she was spotted with him and his two children (their mom is Tiger’s ex, Elin Nordegren) at the Masters. They all looked quite happy together.
“After nearly three years together, Tiger and I have mutually decided to end our relationship. I will always cherish the memories that we’ve created together. Unfortunately, we both lead incredibly hectic lives that force us to spend a majority of our time apart. I will always admire and respect Tiger. He and his beautiful family will always hold a special place in my heart.”
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, fans have had mixed reactions to the break up news. Some are really sad that these two didn’t work out, but others are happy that Vonn is getting away from Tiger (those people likely never forgave Tiger for cheating on Elin with multiple women).
