‘Person Of Interest’ Spoilers, Renewal News: What Can Fans Expect As Season 4 Wraps?

The Season 4 Person of Interest finale airs Tuesday night on CBS, and fans are not going to want to miss this one. Lives are at stake and word is that not everybody will make it out alive. What Person of Interest spoilers are available for the May 6 finale? Has CBS canceled or renewed this show for Season 5?

As TV Guide shares, the Season 4 finale is titled “YHWH” and Root and Finch will be racing to save the Machine. There’s a showdown ahead between Dominic and Elias, and Reese will be in the middle of it all. From the sounds of things, fans may want to brace themselves for significant casualties.

Executive producer Jonathan Nolan teases Person of Interest spoilers that there may be three central characters who potentially lose their lives in this Season 4 finale. In addition, the show teases that what is ultimately lost in the big battle may be more important than who is lost.

Michael Emerson, who plays Harold Finch, recently chatted with TV Goodness and shared some additional Person of Interest spoilers. He says that Tuesday’s finale is moving, exciting, and great in how things develop. Emerson adds that while all of the show’s final episodes are good, this one is particularly great.

Character deaths on this show are not unexpected, and the show has even killed off major characters in the past. However, it seems the writers have come up with scenarios that will jolt the viewers during this episode. Over at TV Geek Talk, it is teased that Tuesday’s apparent finale deaths are truly stunning and unexpected. Various things revealed will apparently rock viewers and at times leave them drying some tears.

In fact, the site goes so far as to tease Person of Interest spoilers that four characters are left dead in the finale, with a fifth death about to happen as the episode ends. There will be a big cliffhanger in Tuesday’s finale, which could be a big problem for fans. Unfortunately, CBS has not yet renewed Person of Interest for Season 5. The show hasn’t been canceled yet either.

How likely is a Person of Interest renewal? While some shows are still waiting on news but are considered safe bets, that may not be the case here. TVLine says that they think it could go either way. The predictions over at TV By the Numbers, however, seem to have a more positive outlook on the chances for Season 5. One way or the other, fans should have news soon as the CBS upfronts take place in mid-May.

Michael Emerson talked about where things are headed in Season 5, so it’s clear that he expects to hear news of a renewal rather than a cancellation. He says that Shaw will have a presence in the Season 4 finale, but he hopes she’ll be seen again in Season 5. The actor even says he’ll be flabbergasted if the show doesn’t return and he doesn’t know why they haven’t gotten a renewal confirmation yet.

Will fans be satisfied by how Season 4 of Person of Interest ends? Will there be a Season 5 or will CBS cancel the show?
