Amy Adams Marries — Actress’ Skyrocketing Career Put Nuptials On Hold For 14 Years

When you’re a famous Hollywood actress like Amy Adams, it’s hard to find the time in your busy schedule to get married.

Luckily, Amy and now-husband Darren Le Gallo seem to have a pretty stable, “true love” sort of relationship. The duo were engaged in 2008 and have been together for 14 years, People reported – longer than some Hollywood marriages.

And Darren, a director, had no problem putting off what they figured was an inevitable wedding while Amy’s career shot through the roof. Among other reasons for delaying the wedding, the actress explained a couple years ago that she’s just not a fanatic bride.

“I’ve been really busy, and I feel like a horrible fiancée that I haven’t gotten swept up in the whole idea of a wedding But I just haven’t … He wants to be married. He’s sort of, you know, ‘This is going to happen, right?’ He understands I’m busy but he’s ready.”

Evidently, the pair wanted to wed in spring or fall, but every time the season rolled around, Adams‘ was working. And the birth of their daughter, Aviana, who was born in 2010, spurned her on to get married; the girl turns 5 this month.

So finally, this past Saturday, Amy and Le Gallo made it official in a secret, intimate ceremony, E! Online added.

Before they married, Adams said she wanted a “family-oriented and laid back” ceremony, and it seems that’s what she got; celebrity watchers believe only a small number of closest friends and family were in attendance. No official details have been released.

The two have been an item since 2001 when they met in acting class. Over the years, Adams and Le Gallo have appeared on the red carpet together and have become a comfortable, as expected of celebrity relationships, MTV added.

“I know he’s completely capable and lovely, and beautiful, and offers something I could never hope to offer just in the nature of his being. It’s really important to have someone to remind you who you are. I’ll run all over but come back to him, and I know who I am.”
