Hilary Duff Is On Tinder To Promote New Reality Show?
Hilary Duff revealed last week that she’s using Tinder to find love and so she could date like a “normie” person. It turns out that her attempts to be normal is all a sham. Hilary is using the popular dating app to promote her new reality show, according to several new reports.
Duff and her first Tinder date weren’t completely alone at the bowling alley, according to a TMZ report. In fact, there were cameraman there watching their every movie. It wasn’t Duff’s security men or paparazzi either. Duff is documenting her dating life for a reality show that will focus on her life after her divorce to Canadian NHL player Mike Comries.
TMZ says that the new reality show is like, “Think ‘Stella’ getting her groove back…but whiter.”
That’s not all that happened during Hilary’s first date. There was also an impromptu Lizzie McGuire reunion, according to Cosmopolitan. Fans found it strange when the cast had a mini reunion on the same night as Hilary’s big Tinder date. Guess it wasn’t such a big deal since she was photographed with LaLaine Vergara-Paras who played her best friend Miranda, and Jake Thomas, who played her younger brother Matt. Some fans thought that Hilary may have accidentally matched with Jake on the popular dating app!
Cameras were also reportedly seen filming Duff’s second Tinder date, which was a pizza place. She also disappeared with her date to a bar later that evening without any cameras around. Maybe Duff felt “sparks” with the lucky man and the date worked out after all. Some of Duff’s fans feel that she’s truly looking for love and is not doing it just for the cameras.
The TMZ report also noted that the singer and actress is kind of like the Bachelorette, in which she will document her nine dates. Hilary previously told E! News that she was talking to that many guys on Tinder at the moment. Who knows if she could have more dates lined up. Hilary and her rep has yet to comment about the news of her alleged reality show.
Some fans also think that Duff is trying to revamp her image after two failed pop singles. The actress already has a successful series called Younger on TV Land. Maybe Duff wanted to create a reality show so the world could her mature from a former child actress and divorcee, according to a Cinema Blend report. This could make her career take off once again in both the acting and singing worlds. Duff is always smart and savvy when it comes to her career choices.
Hilary is not the only singer who’s tried out Tinder. Meghan Trainor said that she couldn’t find her “Dear Future Husband” on the dating site. During an interview with Shazam, she said she was turned off by the guys who wanted to hook up with her. Meghan also revealed in the interview that she’s a huge Hilary fan. She called the performer the “coolest person ever.”
