Street Fighter X Tekken DLC Wave Kicks Off in April

Some of you may have already seen all of Street Fighter X Tekken‘s lineup of DLC thanks to the fact that it’s already on the disc, so what you’ll be getting won’t come as a surprise–but at least now you can get a general idea of when it’s all coming.

Over on Capcom Unity, community manager Brett Elston outlined Capcom’s DLC plans for Street Fighter X Tekken, dating the first batch of DLC content and giving us more information on when we can expect to see those 12 extra DLC characters.

The first round of content to make its way to Street Fighter X Tekken on April 3 will be “Swap” costumes, which Elston describes as taking “the “alternate costume” DLC idea one step further – instead of offering basic alts, these outfits cross the fashion line by dressing SF characters as Tekken characters and vice versa.”

Each costume will cost $1 (80 Microsoft Points) individually, or $13.00 (1040 Microsoft Points) for the separate Street Fighter and Tekken packs.

On top of that, April 3 will also see the introduction of three new color packs with four new color palettes included in each pack, and three new quick combo presets, all of which will be available free of charge.

A “few weeks” after the tournament patch arrives–which is expected “shortly” after the April 3 content drop–Street Fighter X Tekken will be getting even more DLC in the form of over 60 new gems and three extra gem load-out slots.

Lastly, Elston said that the console versions (and PC port, presumably) of Street Fighter X Tekken will be getting the new PlayStation Vita characters shortly after the game is released on Sony’s handheld later this year.
