[Rumor] Bobbi Kristina Brown Engaged to Nick Gordon

Bobbi Kristina Brown has had a tumultuous past month. Her mother, Whitney Houston, tragically passed away on February 11th, and she has been battling the pain of this loss, along with her decision to change her name. Along with this, she also recently revealed that she is in a relationship with Nick Gordon, her “adopted” brother. Although Whitney Houston never officially adopted him, he came to live with her and Bobbi when he was 12, and they were raised as “brother” and “sister.”

It is not clear when their relationship grew to be more than platonic, but they went public with the information shortly after Whitney’s death. Rumor has it that the couple is even engaged, following pictures that surfaced showing the 19 year-old with a very sizable diamond ring on her left hand. The ring used to be her mother’s, but as Whitney left everything to her daughter, it is now Bobbi Kristina’s.

It’s a guess at this point if the ring is a symbol of Bobbi being close to her mother, or whether it means much more–an eventual marriage to her “adopted” brother. A source told US Weekly that, “The situation is beyond sad…Whitney never formally adopted Nick, but he lived with her and Bobbi Kristina from the age of twelve, and they were raised like brother and sister. Nick came from a really bad background.”

The source went on to say that the two were “always close,” and that their relationship had, “evolved a lot…and they are living like a couple.

The source also stated that, “Bobbi Kristina is still so vulnerable since her mother passed away…but Nick has become like her rock.”
