WWE News: Daniel Bryan Situation To Be Addressed On Raw Tonight — Will Bryan Be Returning To Action Soon?

Apparently, WWE is planning on addressing the Daniel Bryan situation at some point during tonight’s Raw. There has been some speculation that WWE will strip Bryan of the Intercontinental Championship, as it appears that he won’t be ready to return to action until late June. However, WWE posted an article on their website late last week that teased that Bryan may be ready to return to action immediately, but the article also said that it’s possible that he could be stripped of the IC Title. So, nobody really knows what the future holds for Bryan.

“Perhaps The Authority should, in fact, step in. Bryan himself has proclaimed that a titleholder needs to be a fighting champion, always ready to give the WWE Universe the show they deserve. If the bearded superstar can’t provide that level of competition due to injury or otherwise, even he would argue it’s only fair that he should step aside for someone else who can.”

“It’s very possible that this swell of speculation is all for nothing. Certainly, ‘The Beard’ could emerge on Raw or SmackDown, this week or the next, to clarify that he’s ready to return — be it after a few more weeks of recoup or, better still, that he is good to go now. In that case, there then would remain one more very important question: Should Bryan come back to defend the title, will he be the same athlete that we have come to know?”

Other than the article on the WWE website, WWE hasn’t given much of an update on Bryan’s condition, and — other than Daniel Bryan and WWE — nobody really knows what’s wrong with him. There have been previous reports that Bryan was just “banged up” and that he had suffered a concussion, but none of those reports have been officially confirmed.

Since Bryan has returned from his nearly career-ending neck injury, he’s refused to change his in-ring style, which has likely caused him to get hurt yet again. There have been reports of Bryan getting heat backstage because he’s not doing a better job of protecting himself in the ring, which is making WWE hesitant to put Bryan back in a main-event situation.

There’s a possibility that Bryan will be at tonight’s Raw in Montreal, Quebec, Canada to update the fans on his condition himself. But, if he isn’t there, expect an update by the Raw commentary team at some point during the show.
