Kendall Jenner: Victim To New Era Of Vandalism — Drone Graffiti

Less than a week after drone graffiti artist KATSU defaced Kendall Jenner’s Calvin Klein billboard ad in Soho, the clothing company has installed a brand new billboard featuring the same reality star.

Last Saturday, Jenner gave the unapologetic KATSU a big slap on the face when she uploaded a snap of her new billboard on her Instagram account.

The photo showed a new and improved Calvin Klein billboard ad which replaced the one that was vandalized Wednesday, April 29. In the ad, Jenner is wearing a pair of denim Calvin Klein jeans paired with a cropped hoodie. She then captioned her upload with, “What drone? #soho.”

Calvin Klein has numerous billboard ads all over the United States but this one in SoHo is particularly special. Measuring six stories tall, Jenner’s billboard ad is among the biggest and most-viewed in SoHo. This is perhaps why KATSU chose this billboard as his target.

Using a DJI phantom drone equipped with a can of red spray paint, KATSU vandalized Jenner’s Calvin Klein billboard by drawing red lines across her face. This illegal act was caught on camera and was released on YouTube.

Instead of feeling sorry for the crime that he committed, the graffiti artist was thrilled at his work of art. Apparently, his masterpiece exceeded his expectations and he did not hesitate to express his sentiments about it.

“It turned out surprisingly well,” KATSU said. “It’s exciting to see its first potential use as a device for vandalism.” He also shared his plans of making a user-friendly version of his graffiti drone in the future.

KATSU’s illegal act did not come as a surprise as people were already expecting him to make his move since he unveiled a graffiti drone last April. A month ago, he showcased his spray-paint-wielding drone and various paintings that he created using the machine. When asked why he used a drone to paint, he explained that he wanted to raise awareness of how machines may change the field of arts.

While KATSU is celebrating his success, billboard advertisers are now faced with a new challenge. As written by online source Digital Trend, they now have “reason to fear that a once hard-to-reach place may now be accessible to mischievous vandals with access to the right technology.”

Meanwhile, Jenner has taken on some unique ways to show her love for Calvin Klein. Aside from posing for their billboard ad, she has also recently uploaded on Instagram a sexy snap showing off her curves and her Calvin Klein underwear.
