Modern Warfare 3 Getting Even More DLC, Activision Says

If for some reason the 20 content packs Activision plans to release over the course of the year for Modern Warfare 3 isn’t enough to satisfy you, Call of Duty digital vice president Jamie Berger told Destructoid that even more DLC is planned beyond that.

Berger explained to the site that the way Elite works has freed up developers Raven Software, Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games from the typical DLC constraints, and the teams have come up with much more content than expected–enough that we’ll be getting extra DLC content for Modern Warfare 3 down the road.

Only four additional pieces of content are confirmed at the moment, but Berger didn’t rule out the possibility of even more DLC being released beyond that–but Berger stressed that nothing is 100% certain at this point, so don’t get too excited for more than 24 pieces of content.

As was the case with all Modern Warfare 3 DLC released so far–and the remainder of Modern Warfare 3‘s 9 months of DLC–the additional content will be made available free for Elite members. Berger didn’t say whether or not the additional content would be made available outside of the Elite service, however.

Are you glad that Activision plans to release at least four more pieces of Modern Warfare 3 content, or do you think what they already plan to offer is enough?
