Deal Alert: Get $25 Restaurant Coupon For $3 Online
A good Internet deal is hard to pass up, and Rick Broida over at CNET’s Cheapshake blog has just uncovered a winner: a code that’ll let you snag $25 restaurant gift certificates for $3 a pop (U.S. only). Not too shabby.
The deal is at restaurant.com. All you do is search for the restaurant of your choosing within your city — then, when you reach the shopping cart page, type the word SAVE into the coupon code field. That’ll drop all the $25 gift certificate cards down to $3.
As Broida points out, you do have a couple of restrictions, such as minimum food purchases — but if you’re planning to eat out and spend the cash anyhow, the $22 savings for starting on the Web is a pretty solid offering.

I think restaurant.com is a pretty big scam. The restrictions on the use of your certificate are huge — you often are required to purchase extra beverages or go during certain hours. Or beverages and tax and tip don't count toward the minimum purchase. So you end up racking up so much extra on your bill just to use the certificate that you pay as much as you would've without it. And get really annoyed in the process!
