Iron Man Has A New Suit, Plus ‘The Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ Post Credit Scene Spoilers

The Avengers: Age of Ultron hit theaters over the weekend and, besides offering up another action-packed movie for fans to enjoy, it also featured quite a number of surprises. One of the those surprises is Iron Man sporting a new look. The superhero has an upgraded suit this time around that contains a new assortment of gadgets.

The new suit is called the Mark 43, and it not only looks more stylish than its predecessors, but it can also do some new tricks. The metal-plated hero can scan through walls and detect life-signs, shoot missiles with the capability of busting through bunkers, mow down enemies with a second shoulder gun, enact a sentry mode that allows Tony Stark to exit the suit and remain protected, and call on a Hulkbuster addition.

Speaking of the Hulkbuster suit, which Stark named Veronica, Iron Man has quite the battle with the Hulk after Bruce Banner loses control and ends up in a populated city. Stark is forced to call in the new suit in order to contain the Hulk, and the two exchange a pretty epic battle sequence. In said fight, Iron Man hits the Hulk hard enough to send the green monster flying. According to Wired, which did some pretty intensive physics on the whole scene, it took around 4,500 pounds of force to knock the Hulk through the air like he did.

With a fairly solid fan base and a star studded cast, The Avengers: Age of Ultron is likely to bust through some box office records before it’s all said and done. The film was released over the weekend and has already garnered good reviews. With that in mind, a third Avengers film is likely to come down the pipeline sooner or later. Luckily, the post credits scene may shed some light on the who the next villain will be.

The post credit scenes featured another appearance from Thanos, who was also at the end of the first Avengers film. While this doesn’t give us an insight into the upcoming Marvel movies, such as Ant-Man, Civil War, Dr. Strange, and Thor: Ragnarok, it does offer a clue that Thanos might play a bigger role in the next Avengers film, Infinity War.

Thanos is shown in the scene opening up a safe and, looking really disappointed, grabbing his empty gauntlet and making the decision to do his own bidding in search for the infinity stones. Whatever this leads to will likely come about in the next Avengers film, which will also feature some new faces on the team.

However, the next movie in the hit franchise is still a ways off. For now, make sure to catch Iron Man in his new suit in The Avengers: Age of Ultron.
