After an exciting and well-played series, the Spurs and Clippers will meet for Game 7 on Saturday. Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET.

The Clippers advanced to Game 7 by surviving a road game against the Spurs, leading L.A. coach Doc Rivers to comment on just how close it has been so far.

“This team is mentally tough, but we’ve got to come through it again,” Rivers said. “This series in some ways should go seven. It’s just right. That’s what should happen in this series.”

The series has plenty of dramatic undertones. Under Rivers, the Clippers appear to be a team on the rise, and are meeting a team that could be coming down from its peak. After a long run of titles including a win in the 2014 NBA Finals, this could be the end of the road for Spurs’ stars Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobili.

The team’s aging stars are shying away from retirement talk, however, and focusing instead on winning Game 7.

“We understand the pressure that’s there and we understand the magnitude of the game,” Duncan said. “We understand that we can play better than we did (in Game 6). Hopefully we will clean a whole lot of that up and play a much better game in this short turnaround. I know we are capable of it. We will be ready for it.”

Fans who watch the San Antonio Spurs vs. Los Angeles Clippers live online may see an inspired Spurs team. After squandering their chance to end the series in Game 6, the team got an earful from coach Gregg Popovich who called the team’s performance “soft.”

“Our execution at the offensive end was really poor. No excuse for it. Just poor. We should be embarrassed at the way we came out for a closeout game, in every regard.”

Game 7 comes on what is likely the most exciting sports day in years. The 141st running of the Kentucky Derby will take place earlier in the day, and not long after Game 7 wraps up will be another much-awaited contest, the Las Vegas mega-fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather, Jr.
