Jonah Hill Gains 70 Pounds: ‘Arms And The Dudes’ Movie Features Actor 70 Pounds Heavier

Jonah Hill has put on 70 pounds, likely for his role in Arms and the Dudes. According to Hollywood Daily News, Hill was spotted on set in Burbank, California, looking quite heavy after previously losing a considerable amount of weight. The actor has been rather up and down over the years when it comes to his weight, but he was looking healthier up until this recent spotting.

His weight has been a topic of discussion for many years, and it’s something he’s been relatively open about.

“Being healthier came along with maturity. And it’s hard, because a lot of times people want you to be the guy you were when they met you. And I love doing funny movies, but I want to mature, literally, in how I treat myself. I’m not living in a frat house with a bong plastered to the table. … But all this stuff [points to his body] is just part of maturing in body and in mind. I just want to be a good man and to make my family proud. And, you know, I want to live a long time,” Hill said back in 2011.

Jonah Hill gaining 70 pounds definitely isn’t healthy, but actors tend to be flexible with fluctuating their weight for movies. For example, Matthew McConaughey lost quite a bit of weight for Dallas Buyers Club. Mark Wahlberg packed on several pounds of muscle for his role in Pain & Gain.

According to Hollywood Life, Jonah Hill made headlines when he lost weight for his role in Moneyball starring Brad Pitt. Hill admits that changing his diet caused him to drop the weight.

“It was just mostly diet. I wish there was some crazy thing that I did, like a pill or a genie or something,” Hill said at the time.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, there is a chance that Jonah Hill’s weight gain was just another fluctuation and that it wasn’t for the movie. The actor has not commented on the story.
