‘RHONY’ Star Alex McCord Could Lose Out On $100 Million If She Stays In Australia

Alex McCord may have filmed the first couple of seasons of The Real Housewives of New York, but when she was fired after the fourth season, she wanted to make some big changes. Alex was one of four wives who were fired, including Jill Zarin and Kelly Bensimon. While Jill tried to get back on the show, McCord began working for tabloids to share her thoughts about the shows as they continued to air.

But former The Real Housewives of New York star Alex McCord and her family needed a change. Last year, McCord announced that she and Simon Van Kempen were packing up their home in Brooklyn and shipping all of their belongings to Australia. But when Alex moved across the world, she was in the middle of a massive lawsuit in the United States.

According to a new Radar Online report, Alex McCord could be facing some troubles with the lawsuit because she moved away. McCord filed a $100 million lawsuit against her former business partners. In the lawsuit, Alex claims that her former business partners, Vivian Douek and Mahmoud Ghazal, fooled her in their business venture. They had come together to create a business selling Egyptian cotton bed and bath linen named Aluxe, but Alex claims that Douek and Ghazal went behind her back and created a competing business. As a result, McCord believes they stole customers.

While the lawsuit appeared to be a good idea at first, the judge wants Alex to come back to the United States to deal with the case. Apparently, McCord can’t go back to America because the Australian government is not allowing her to leave. Alex is currently in Australia on a visa, which does put some restrictions on her.

Alex McCord’s lawyer is trying to do everything to get her back into the United States to deal with this legal issue, but if she doesn’t, then the judge may dismiss the case. It has been on-going for a long time, and one can imagine that Douek and Ghazal would love the case to be dismissed.

Alex and her husband moved to Australia to be closer to Simon’s family. Now that they had lived in New York for long so, Simon really wanted his sons to be closer to his family. According to the Inquisitr, McCord has been sharing this moving journey on social media and it appears that her sons adore this new country.
