Amber Portwood Engaged: ‘Teen Mom’ Sticks Up For Fiance, Proposal Is Revealed
The new season of Teen Mom OG is underway, and Amber Portwood’s storyline is already pretty dramatic. Out of prison and getting her life on the right track, Amber has already learned that her ex-boyfriend is going to be a father again and realizes that there is no future for the two.
However, there is a silver lining to everything in that Amber has met a man named Matt Baier that she seems to be very happy with and Teen Mom fans were able to meet him on the most recent episode. The next episode is going to be pretty intense, though, as Wetpaint Entertainment reports that Matt’s proposal to the reality show star will appear on the next episode of the show.
Of course, Amber’s engagement hasn’t been kept a huge secret, as fans have known for a few weeks that she is engaged to her boyfriend. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Amber has been quietly planning her wedding to Matt, and unlike other Teen Mom couples, she doesn’t plan on having MTV air the wedding. However, that could change, but as of right now, she seems to want to keep things low-key.
As for how the proposal went down, MTV will air that on Monday night, but an all-new clip shows just how Matt popped the question to Amber Portwood. It turns out that Matt takes Amber to the restaurant where the two had their first date before asking her to marry him.
“I love you, you know that, right? We’ve done a lot of messed up s—t in our life. Would you agree with that? I would really really, really like to do something right for once. And I want you to marry me. I’m being 100 percent serious. So, will you marry me?”
Amber Portwood looks surprised to be asked that question. Unfortunately, the clip doesn’t show her response, but considering the two are planning a wedding, it seems that she likely said “yes.”
However, not all fans are happy for the Teen Mom OG star and feel that she shouldn’t be with Matt. However, Amber has taken to Twitter to defend her boyfriend, pointing out that he does have a job, and like her, is a former addict.
