Kris Jenner Thought She Could Fix Bruce Jenner’s Gender Identity Crisis

Kris Jenner has reportedly been by ex-husband Bruce Jenner’s side through his decision to come out as transgender. However, a source close to the family revealed that, at one point, Kris thought she was going to “fix” Bruce.

“She knew that he struggled with gender identity,” the insider told People Magazine. “She knew he had been on hormones and that his body had changed.”

During Bruce’s interview with Diane Sawyer, titled Bruce Jenner: The Interview, he told her that he had started hormone replacement therapy in the early ’80s. He also revealed that he had grown to a 36B breast size when he met his future wife, Kris.

“You can’t hide those things!” Bruce told Diane.

However, he did admit that he tried his best to downplay the extent of his gender identity crisis.

Surprisingly, despite Bruce’s breasts, cross-dressing, and plastic surgery, Kris is adamant in saying that she “never knew Bruce wanted to be a woman. She thought Bruce had a little quirk and he asked her to keep it a secret, so she did.”

“Before Kris and Bruce got married, Kris assured his ex-wives that she knew about ‘the issue,'” the Jenner insider added. “She wanted them to know that she thought it was just a phase and that she could ‘fix’ him.”

Kris Jenner was one of the few members of Bruce’s family who did not comment during his exclusive interview. She claims that she was never asked to comment, but ABC insists that they tried numerous times to reach out to her.

“ABC News sent an email to her publicity team more than once,” ABC said in a statement. “They called and said no comment.”

“Kris does not have official representation but a message was left at her office and she was asked for fact checking. Kris said she was unable to respond because she had not seen the special. She did not say, ‘No comment,'” a separate statement issued to People Magazine on behalf of Kris read.

She has stayed mostly silent on the subject, except to tweet a message about Bruce, calling him her “hero.”

Not only was I able to call him my husband for 25 years and father of my children, I am now able to call him my hero.
