Ryan Gosling To Play Walt Disney In Imaginary Movie

Ryan Gosling has just been cast as Walt Disney in the new movie “Walt” from Ron Howard. Well, he might have been if the movie was actually real.

Unfortunately, “Walt” isn’t in production. It doesn’t have a budget. It doesn’t even have a screenplay. Basically, “Walt” doesn’t exist.

The cool poster for the fictional film was created by French graphic artist Pascal Witaszek and as far as I know, no one has plans to turn the concept into a film. But they should.

Everyone loves a good biopic. Everyone loves Disney. Everyone loves Ryan Gosling (Gosling also started his career in the Mickey Mouse Club) and everyone loves Ron Howard. “Walt” may just be Witaszek’s fantasy, but someone in Hollywood should take notice of how much buzz was created with a simple poster.

Gosling’s also in need of a slightly happier role. After his fantastic performance in “Drive,” Gosling has three darker movies lined up. He’ll play a cop fighting gangsters in “The Gangster Squad,” a police lieutenant who enters a Thai boxing competition in “Only God Forgives,” and a sexually obsessed musician in “Lawless.”

“Walt” would be a nice change of pace for Gosling.

What do you think of the “Walt” movie poster? Do you hope this gets made?
