Tia Mowry’s New Cooking Show Premieres On The Cooking Channel

Tia Mowry was a guest on the Today show and the Wendy Williams show on Wednesday to promote her cooking show that premieres on the Cooking Channel at 9 p.m. on April 29. Tia Mowry at Home is just not your usual cooking show. It is a show for busy people, according to New York Daily News.

Tia teaches busy people how to cook and eat healthy by preparing meals or parts of meals in advance. She says busy people don’t have to go straight to a TV dinner, or eat fast food because they claim they don’t have time to cook. During the show, you will get to know more about the former Sister, Sister actress.

“You’ll get to learn a lot more about me, and who I am outside of being an actress. It’s not just about me being in the kitchen telling people how to cook – it’s a behind-the-scenes of my life, and that’s why I’m so excited about it.”

Mowry’s signature courses include healthy meals she can cook in large portions that can be reheated and served later. Tia says she cooks spaghetti with turkey meatballs, lentil stew, and grilled lamb chops and serves those dishes more than once.

While on the Today show, Tia cooked Cornish hens, collard greens, and brownies.

Tia Mowry At Home Cooking Show

Tia Mowry at Home shows people, especially women, that cooking can be easy and fun. There will still be lots of cooking, and the busy mother gives plenty of tips for other mothers trying to find time to make a healthy dinner for their family.

Tia, 36, advises cooks to make sauces and prepare vegetables in advance.

“Put them in the freezer or the refrigerator, and then when you’re ready to cook, you don’t have to worry about cutting vegetables or making sauces, because that’s what usually takes up the most time.”

Tia is a vegan and serves healthy meals to her family that her toddler loves. Of course, he doesn’t know she replaces the flour in his favorite blueberry pancakes with oatmeal.

Tia Mowry at Home consists of six half-hour episodes with healthy and easy-to-fix meals that range from grilled lollipop pork chops to Cornish game hens, with a side of collard greens and healthy brownies.
