Amber Portwood’s Twitter Feud With Farrah Abraham Explained

Amber Portwood and Farrah Abraham engaged in a Twitter feud last week. As the Inquisitr previously reported, the Teen Mom OG co-stars were once again at odds on Friday, after Abraham reportedly dissed Portwood and the rest of the cast in an interview days prior.

In response to the interview, Amber Portwood shared the following tweet with fans:

During the interview in question, Abraham had recalled the moment MTV producers called her to return to the show, claiming they begged her to get on board with the Teen Mom reboot and apologized for not including her from the start. While that may have been completely true, Amber Portwood was insulted by the thought that Abraham believed she was solely responsible for the show’s success. After all, the show came to an end in 2012, when Amber Portwood was behind bars.

On April 27, a source spoke to Radar Online, revealing the truth behind the feud.

“There was no show when [Amber Portwood] went to prison, so obviously Farrah could not carry the show on her own. Amber doesn’t want to start drama, but Farrah needs to realize that all four of the girls make the show work. It’s not all about her.”

In June 2012, after violating her probation, Amber Portwood entered prison to serve a 5-year term. However, after participating in a number of prison programs, including choir, drug education, and others, she was granted an early release and was reunited with her daughter, Leah, 6, and other family members in early November 2013.

Despite her co-star’s comments, Radar‘s source claimed Amber Portwood “has a lot of love” for Abraham.

“They both have been through so much over the years, and understand how hard it is to be a reality celebrity. Amber has a lot of love for Farrah and always will, no matter what she says or does.”

Following Amber Portwood’s release, MTV began talks of brining the show back after years off the air, and originally wanted just Portwood, Catelynn Lowell, and Maci Bookout for the series. At the time, it was believed Abraham’s adult film career would not be good for the series, or the message the series intended to give viewers.
