Watch Mets Vs. Yankees Live Online: New York Supremacy At Stake In Rubber Game Of Subway Series

Watch live online as the New York Mets, the team with the best record in baseball, invade the Bronx to face the Yankees in the rubber game of the first Subway Series of the 2015 Major League season. After splitting the first two games, the 10-4 Mets send 28-year-old lefty Jon Niese to the mound with his sparkling 1.50 ERA.

The Yankees counter with 25-year-old right-hander Nathan Eovaldi, who will attempt to build on his first win of the season, which came in his last start against Detroit.

To find out how to watch the inter-league New York rival Mets vs. Yankees game live online Sunday, see the information at the bottom of this article.

The Mets come into the Sunday night contest at 14-4 after staff ace Matt Harvey held the Yankees to five hits and two runs while missing a complete game by one out as the National Leaguers won 8-2.

The Yankees took the series opener Friday night 6-1, behind a pair of home runs from veteran first baseman Mark Teixeira. Heading into Sunday’s game, the Yankees record stands at a more ordinary-looking 10-8. But in the weakened American League East, that’s currently good enough for a three-way, first-place tie with the Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays.

The Bronx Bombers have a tough assignment in front of them Sunday, however, as Niese has not only held opponents to just three earned runs (five overall) in 18 innings over his three starts, the eight-year veteran has not allowed more than two earned runs in any of his last eight starts, going back to the 2014 season.

Niese takes the mound two days after being ejected from the series opener as he sat in the dugout, when home plate umpire objected to a comment Niese made from the bench regarding the umpire’s strike zone.

For the Yankees, Eovaldi got off to a slow start this year, losing both of his first two starts, lasting just 5 1/3 and five innings respectively. But he turned things around on April 21 against the Detroit Tigers when he held them to just a single run over seven innings, leading New York to a 5-2 victory.

The Sunday night Mets vs. Yankees game will be the final contest between the two New York rivals until September 18, when the inter-league Subway Series resumes at Citi Field in Queens. ESPN will broadcast Sunday’s game exclusively at 8 p.m. Eastern Time/5 p.m. Pacific.
