Justin Bieber, Skrillex & Diplo’s ‘Where Are Ü Now’ Hits Top 40 On UK, US Charts

Justin Bieber, Skrillex, and Diplo’s seminal collaboration “Where Are Ü Now” powers into the Top 40 in key radio charts.

Last week, the dance slayer soared 13 places to No. 32 in the official UK Top 40 Singles Chart at No. 32, in its first week on the chart.

Over in the U.S., the addictive midtempo rose two places to No. 40 from No. 42 this past week on Billboard’s Hot 100 singles chart, after reaching the Top 50 two weeks ago. Chart ranking is measured by radio play, sales, and streaming data.

“Where Are U Now” is currently No. 34 on the Mediabase official pop airplay chart, No. 27 on the U.S. iTunes chart, No. 4 on Australia iTunes and No. 22 on UK iTunes.

Following official radio adds on April 21 in 28 radio markets, stations are playing the Jack U-Justin Bieber single and using social media to build brand awareness.

In addition to Top 40 breakthroughs on The Hot 100, Vodaphone and official UK Top 40 Singles Charts, “Where” is still at No. 1 on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs, No. 3 on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, and still holding at No. 2 on the Dance/Electronic Digital Songs charts.

Bieber, Skrillex, and Diplo have reasons to rejoice elsewhere. On Australia’s ARIA chart, the single is No. 3 on the Dance Singles Chart, No. 7 on the main Singles Chart, No.3 on the Streaming Tracks chart, and has gone gold.

“Where Are Ü Now” is the second single to be released from the Skrillex and Diplo Present Jack Ü album, and the song’s position is the highest that either producer-DJ has scored on the Hot 100 as lead artists.

The track received live boosts when Bieber and Diplo performed it with Skrillex to close his headline set at Miami’s Ultra Music Festival last month, and his surprise guest appearance at Ariana Grande’s L.A. concert on April 8.

Manager, Scooter Braun recently confirmed in a Twitter Q&A that a video for “Where” will be shot this month. On Friday, the Biebs posted a message to his Fahlo page, which set off online chatter among Justin Bieber fans that a visual may be filmed in Rome.

The singer wrote, “Guess What!!!? I’m going to Rome.”

Why did fans speculate that the Italian capital could bring Jack U and the Biebs together? Well, Diplo is currently on tour in Europe with his Major Lazer project. Meanwhile, Skrillex recently performed in Rome. However, according to an Instagram Sonny posted, he left the city on Sunday.

The possibility that Bieber may be the next celebrity to film a cameo for Zoolander 2 — the comedy is currently shooting on location in Rome — also popped up online.

Bieber was pictured arriving at LAX airport on Sunday bound for Rome. Time will tell what happens there. For now, Beliebers keen to maintain “Where Are U Now’s” charts’ ascent know what to do.
