Kim Kardashian And Kanye West Baptize Daughter In Jerusalem

On Saturday, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West baptized their daughter North in Jerusalem. Us Magazine has the news.

“Kim Kardashian and Kanye West kept busy following their trip to Armenia earlier this month. Before heading home to sunny L.A., the couple flew to Israel to baptize their daughter North West at St. James Cathedral in the Armenian Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem.”

“Good morning Jerusalem! We woke up really early to see the site where the crucifixion of Jesus Christ took place,” Us quoted Kim as posting on Instagram.

However, by Saturday evening, such a post could not be found. Perhaps Kardashian feels guilty that she shared a photo of such a private moment. However, that would be shocking since nothing is private for either Kim Kardashian or Kanye West.

Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian is launching a mental illness awareness campaign. Fish Wrapper quotes Kim Kardashian talking about the show she is doing with Dr. Drew Pinsky to help bring awareness to the issue.

“I am blessed to be surrounded by family and friends that are loving and nurturing, but not everyone has that kind of support. Twenty-five percent of adults in America will suffer from a mental illness in their lifetime, and many of them turn to social media to vent their depression, loneliness and isolation.”

It’s obvious that Kim Kardashian is more than just a celebrity who became famous because of a sex tape. This week, she took time out to remember the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. People broke the story.

“After visiting her ancestors’ homeland, Kim Kardashian West says she has new insight into her heritage, honoring those lost in the Armenian genocide on its 100th anniversary,” wrote author Michelle Corriston. The article also quotes Kim talking about her trip.

“I am proud to now say I have been to Armenia. I have seen the memorials and the people who survived and I am so proud of how strong the Armenian people are!”

The Armenian Genocide is not as well-known to most Americans as other genocides, like the Holocaust. However, anybody who lives near the Los Angeles suburb of Glendale, CA certainly has a lot of knowledge about it; Armenians in the area hold vigils every year. If it takes a celebrity like Kim Kardashian to bring attention to such a horrific event, then let it be. Many may wish Kim Kardashian would go away, but she is here to stay.
