Jade Goody dies from cancer aged 27

British reality TV star Jade Goody has died after a long battle with cancer.

Goody, best known in the UK for her time on Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother, gained worldwide attention when she allowed cameras to record her battle with inoperable cervical cancer.

Jade married boyfriend Jack Tweed in February knowing that the clock was ticking, and more recently had herself and her children baptized in hospital.

UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown said in a statement that Goody “was a courageous woman both in life and death, and the whole country have admired her determination to provide a bright future for her children.”
