WWE News: UFC President Dana White Claims Ronda Rousey Is ‘One And Done’ With WWE Career

UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey made quite an impression on the WWE fans when she made an appearance at WrestleMania 31 alongside The Rock. She and Rock had an altercation with The Authority’s Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. While the segment ran very long, the audience both live and at home ate it up. So much so, WWE is trying their hardest to get Ronda to come back at one point in the future.

It seems she wants to come back to WWE in the future as well. However, that is not good news for the UFC who knows Rousey is their top draw right now. It is a fact that she is the most popular fighter they have and she is only getting bigger due to movies such as Fast and Furious 7 as well as Entourage once it comes out. Clearly, the UFC wants to die down any rumors of Rousey leaving at any point.

To their credit, Ronda does have a contract with UFC that has several fights left on it. So they sort of own her until that deal is over. That means if UFC doesn’t want her part of WWE, she won’t be part of it.

Recently, UFC President Dana White spoke with The Fight Network about Rousey in WWE and if there is a future for her in the squared circle.

When asked about her WrestleMania 31 appearance, he said that it was awesome.

“What she did on WrestleMania was awesome, it was awesome. It came off great. I loved it.”

He then wanted to put rumors to rest quickly on her in WWE.

“She’s a ‘one and done.’ One and done.”

When asked if he’d ever allow Rousey to wrestle in WWE in the future while still under her UFC contract, Dana White simply replied with “nope.”

Clearly, UFC doesn’t want to lose Ronda Rousey to the WWE in any way. They want to make sure fans know that the isn’t leaving, because they do know the power Rousey has for them. She draws money. WWE knows this as well, which is obviously why they want her to work for them. It was shocking that she was at WrestleMania at all. While she may never wrestle for WWE while with UFC…something makes us all feel like Ronda is certainly NOT one and done.

Ronda has only spoken positively about her time in WWE and how she always wanted to be a WWE Diva in the past. In fact the “Rowdy” part of her ring name is in homage to WWE Hall of Famer “Rowdy” Roddy Piper. Dana White speaking for her clearly shows more desperation on UFC’s end to make sure she stays rather than Ronda’s actual intentions. Until Rousey comes out and says she never wants to work with WWE again, we’re not going to believe White, her manager, her publicist, or anyone else.
