Miracle Or Mere Coincidence? Wife’s Intuition Saves Husband’s Life After She Sensed He Was In Trouble

Do you believe in intuition? Gut feelings? After hearing the story of Nicole Mayhew, a resident of Saratoga Springs, Utah, you probably will. Last week, her intuition is what saved the life of her husband Scott Mayhew who she felt was in some form of trouble.

According to MyFox 8, a strange incident happened last Monday when Nicole was at work. After she reached her office, Nicole started to feel there was something wrong with her husband and felt an intuition that told her she needed to see him right away. In the meantime, Scott, who was working on his car inside his garage was really in trouble.

According to the police, Scott was working underneath his Ford Explorer SUV when the car fell off the jack, trapping Mayhew underneath the vehicle. The weight of the large vehicle had crushed Scott’s chest, and he was unable to breath. He remained underneath the vehicle for well over half an hour even as cars passed by his garage without noticing that someone was in real trouble inside. Scott said he could hear several cars pass by and even after he yelled for help, no one heard his cries. Except for his wife, Nicole.

Nicole, who was at office, felt a “funny feeling” in her gut that told her to go see her husband. She did. And that decision saved Scott Mayhew’s life.

With no one noticing that Mayhew was trapped underneath his car inside his own garage, he was left with no choice but to pray that somehow Nicole reaches home.

Nicole had by then left the office and soon reached home. She felt something was wrong the moment she pulled into her driveway. She ran into the garage and found the sight of Scott lying trapped underneath the car. In an interview with KSTU she described what happened next.

“So I got out and I heard my husband say, ‘Help me love,’ and he was in the garage,” she said.”I thought, ‘It’s on him, it’s got to be on him, the car,’ that’s what’s in my head, so I knew immediately.”

“He said he remembers he could barely breathe and he kept thinking he could hear the cars go by, he didn’t know what was going to happen.”

Nicole, who had started to panic by now, was calmed down by Scott who asked her to call 911 for help. She then rushed for help from a neighbor who used the jack to lift the vehicle off Scott’s chest before paramedics arrived on the scene

Soon, Scott was flown to the University of Utah Hospital where it was found that he had broken six of his ribs. Scott will, however, make a full recovery, doctors said. Had it not been for Nicole’s gut feeling, things would have been very different, the doctors said.

“I believe that you know there’s angels around us and my religion, my Heavenly Father was with him,” Nicole said.

Do you think it was a miracle that Nicole felt the intuition on the day her husband was in need of her help?
