Cara Delevingne Quashes Rumor Of Split From ‘Gender Fluid’ Alt-Rocker Annie ‘St. Vincent’ Clark

Has Cara Delevingne split from gal-pal Annie “St. Vincent” Clark after a relationship of just five months? The answer is — who knew they were even dating? But though the British-born, 22-year-old supermodel has never actually confirmed that she is romantically involved with the 32-year-old alt-rock star, she appeared to respond to rumors that the pair were an item no more, with a single Twitter post.

Media reports over the past month or so have stated that Delevingne, who formerly dated Fast and Furious actress Michelle Rodriguez, started a relationship with Clark, who is better known by her stage name, back in December.

Neither the rocker, who played a well-received set at the Coachella Music Festival on April 11, nor Delevingne ever confirmed that they are in a relationship, but the pair have been photographed together in public, braving the freezing New York City cold back in March.

Clark has been asked in interviews whether she is a lesbian, or bisexual, and her answers have been non-committal.

“I don’t think about those words. I believe in gender fluidity and sexual fluidity. I don’t really identify as anything,” she said in a Rolling Stone interview in June of last year. “I think you can fall in love with anybody. I don’t have anything to hide.”

So has St. Vincent fallen in love with Cara Delevingne? She hasn’t said. But a series of mournful Twitter messages posted by the supermodel on her account over the previous week set off rumors that the two were not only an item, they were now an ex-item.

“St. Vincent thought she was always coming second to Cara’s career and wanted more,” one friend of Annie Clarks’ is reported to have confided to the British Sun tabloid. “Cara was shocked though, it’s left her heartbroken.”

Delevingne, who is transitioning from a fashion career to film acting, was also reported to appear “sleep deprived” on the set of her new movie, the DC Comics action film Suicide Squad.

“You can tell she’s been upset and distracted this week. It might have been early days but she was head over heels in love with this girl. They had a real connection,” the same source allegedly revealed.

Of course, the “sleep-deprived” appearance of Cara Delevingne may also be due to the fact that film shoots often commence early in the morning and do not conclude until the late evening hours — rather than the result of a split from St. Vincent.
