Paris Hilton Doesn’t Have Time For A Reality Show
Many have said that Paris Hilton is the reason the Kardashians have an empire. She was the first to make some serious bank and soar to celebrity status on a sex tape, and even scored her own reality show called The Simple Life. It was the first time a person gained fame for, well, doing absolutely nothing.
Sure, Hilton was a heiress before The Simple Life, but odds are she wouldn’t be able to make money from club appearances before her reality star status. However, a lot has changed for Hilton, who made a name for herself with a ditzy personality and party girl vibe.
Hilton is no longer putting on a ditzy girl schtick for money, and has since ventured into a career as a DJ and businesswoman. Although she started the socialite with reality shows trend, Hilton is definitely not interested in having another reality show. She’s left that life in the rearview mirror.
In fact, the former Simple Life star says she just doesn’t have time. Hilton told Nylon Magazine just how much things have changed since she became an overnight sensation with her former BFF Nicole Richie. “I get calls every single day from producers and networks begging me to come back to TV, but I’m so busy that I wouldn’t have time.”
She continued, “I’m focusing on my brand and my business. I don’t have time to do a show.”
Currently, Hilton is coming up on the 10 year anniversary of her fragrance, which has been very profitable. “It feels amazing, I feel so proud. When I was a little girl I knew I wanted to do big things, but I never thought that I would have my own fragrance empire.”
Hilton has been back in the news this week because her famous dog, Tinkerbell, who she touted around for photo ops and red carpet appearances, passed away. The socialite had Tinkerbell for fourteen years.
Hilton posted a message on her Instagram about Tinkerbell when she passed away.
“My heart is broken. I am so sad & devastated. After 14 amazing years together my baby Tinkerbell has passed away of old age. I feel like I’ve lost a member of my family. She was such a special & incredible soul. We went through so much together. I can’t believe she’s gone. I will miss her & think about her for the rest of my life. I love you Tinky, you are a Legend & will never be forgotten. #RIPTinkerbell ”
