Dennis Quaid Files For Divorce

According to TMZ reports, actor Dennis Quaid has filed for divorce from his wife, Kimberly Buffington-Quaid.

Here’s where the juicy details come in! According to Buffington’s petition the papers say, “the marriage has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities… that destroys the legitimate ends of the marriage relationship and prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation.”

Quaid’s soon-to-be ex-wife Kimberly is asking for spousal support and their assets will be divided. However, Quaid’s response to the petition has been less than enthusiastic, and according to sources, Dennis doesn’t want his ex to walk away with half of what she’s asking for.

As for custody of their twins the couple will split their time with their children, 4 year-old Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace. Kimberly is said to get the couple’s main residency and their Mercedes. As for Dennis Quaid, he gets the Cadillac Escalade and a condo. As for all of the other vehicles, the temporary order states that, “the parties shall cooperate with one another in using the Range Rover.”

The couple were wed in 2004 but made headlines in 2007 when their twins almost died after the staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center accidentally gave them an overdose of the drug Heparin.

This is Dennis Quaid’s third divorce. His first was to actress P.J. Soles in 1983, and his second was the infamous divorce to actress Meg Ryan in 2001.
