Reign Aston Disick: Kourtney Kardashian Explains How She Named The Newest Addition To Her Family
Reign Aston Disick is ready for the limelight.
After spending several months keeping her baby away from the public eye, Kourtney Kardashian is now opening up about the newborn boy, sharing pictures for the first time and explaining the meaning behind his name.
The newest addition for Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick made his public debut at the beginning of the month, with his mom sharing the first public picture of the infant on Instagram. Kourtney posted the cute picture of Reign stretched out on a soft white carpet.
“My little turtle dove angel baby boy Reign Aston Disick,” she captioned the pic.
Reign Aston Disick is the third child for Kourtney and Scott. He joins his older brother, 5-year-old Mason, and his 2-year-old sister Penelope. Reign and Mason already have a special connection, sharing a birthday on December 14.
Kourtney is also opening up about the baby’s name. In an interview with People magazine, the oldest Kardashian sister explained that she had the name Reign in mind for quite a while but never got a chance to use it.
When Reign Aston Disick was born she finally got to use the name, though ended up picking a different spelling than she had in mind before.
“I’m never certain [with names] until they’re born, [but] I love it!” she said of the unique choice. “I actually had the name on our list with Mason. Then, with Penelope, I had it on the list but spelled R-A-I-N… Once I found out I was having a boy, we just changed the spelling again.”
Kourtney Kardashian has been all about family lately. She celebrated her 36th birthday this week, and family members shared some sweet messages with the reality star online.
Sister Khloe Kardashian, who actually had to miss Kourtney’s birthday while she was attending the launch of a new messaging app called Regroupd, posted this message:
“Kourt you are the yin to my yang, the Siegfried to my Roy, the Lucy to my Ricky, The Thelma to my Louise, the Wayne to my Garth, the Posh to my David, the sugar to my spice, the icing to my cake. I cannot express how much I love you, respect you, admire you… You inspire me every day. I couldn’t ask for a better big (little) sister. My life would be meaningless without ALL of you. So with every single birthday I am more and more appreciative that we get to spend another year together only strengthening our bond as soulmates every single one of us.”
Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick could soon be showing a lot more of Reign Aston Disick. E! just renewed their reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians for four years and a reported $80 million.
