‘Real Housewives’ Kim Richards’ Children React To Arrest: ‘This Is Hard For Them’ [Report]

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kim Richards was arrested last week in Los Angeles after a wild night of drinking at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Now, her children have reportedly responded to the devastating news of their mother’s relapse.

According to an April 18 report by People Magazine, the Real Housewives star’s four children, Brooke, Whitney, Chad, and Kimberly, are very upset.

“Kim’s children are very disappointed in her. They’re so upset. This is hard for them.”

On Thursday morning around 1:30 a.m., the Real Housewives star was arrested at the Polo Lounge in the famed hotel, and, according to the Beverly Hills Police Department, “was displaying symptoms of alcohol intoxication including slurred speech and belligerent insolent behavior cursing at the officers and passively resisted arrest.”

The report claimed Richards’ drunken behavior led to the bartender at the Polo Lounge cutting her off, which immediately led to chaos. After the Real Housewives star reportedly grew angry with staff, she became a disturbance to other patrons. In turn, the staff phoned the police, who arrived on the premises a short time later.

When the police attempted to remove Richards from the area, she said she needed to use the bathroom, which they allowed. However, when they requested she then leave the bathroom and the hotel, the Real Housewives star stayed put, and police were forced to remove her from the area with minimal force.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, the Real Housewives star showed signs of a possible relapse in the days leading up to her arrest. According to a second People Magazine source, Richards had “been acting increasingly out of it.”

While many hoped that the Real Housewives star’s arrest would serve as a wake-up call, it has reportedly failed to do so.

“Kim is in denial about the whole event. She is telling people she wasn’t even drinking.”

At the time of Richards’ arrest, the Real Housewives star was reportedly at the restaurant by herself because “she doesn’t have many friends at this point.”

“She doesn’t think she needs to [go to rehab]. What’s sad is that this isn’t her rock bottom.”

Richards is due in court on June 11 to address charges of being drunk in public, trespassing and battery on a police officer.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 5 concludes tomorrow night, April 21, at 8 p.m. on Bravo. The final episode of the season will include unaired footage from the latest installment of the Real Housewives franchise.
