Amy Poehler Joins Cast of Adult Children of Divorce

The cast of A.C.O.D. which stands for Adult Children of Divorce just got an extra punch of comedy in their cast line up. It is said that Amy Poehler just signed on to join the cast, rounding out the comedic cast of Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jane Lynch, Jessica Alba, Catherine O’Hara, Richard Jenkins, and Poehler’s Parks & Rec co-star Adam Scott.

Adult Children of Divorce’s plot centers around Adam Scott’s character, Carter, whose divorced parents (Richard Jenkins and Catherine O’Hara) continue to damage is chill personality, right after he discovers that his parents enrolled him in a study on children of divorce, which is a session that counsels children 20 years after the fact.

Poehler, in what’s sure to be a great comedic role, will take up at Carter’s dad’s new wife, which will surely make Carter’s life a living hell (comedically speaking).

Here’s to hoping Catherine O’Hara has a face off with new wife Amy Poehler.

What do you think about the premise of this film? Does it seem fresh and funny, or tired and stale? Do you want other funny faces in the project? What do you think about the casting of Poehler? Is it spot on or a little left field? Weigh in here!
