Gisele Bundchen Thanks Those Who Helped Make Her A Household Name — Her Fans

Gisele Bundchen is fresh off her final trip down the catwalk and took a moment Sunday to thank the ones who helped make her a household name — her fans.

The gorgeous supermodel posted a photo to Instagram Sunday morning to thank the legion of fans that have rallied behind her, drooled over her, and made Gisele Bundchen, well, Gisele Bundchen.

In a collage of pics featuring the Brazilian model with a slew of fans, Gisele Bundchen sent out her heartfelt thanks to her admirers in the accompanying caption.

“I want to thank all my fans from all over the world and also everyone who left kind, loving and supportive messages. I am deeply touched. I love you all, thank you for making this day even more special.”

The message comes just four days after Gisele Bundchen took her farewell strut down the catwalk in her native Sao Paulo.

The 34-year-old mother of two, and wife to NFL quarterback Tom Brady, said she decided to stop working fashion shows in order to spend more time with her family. Even though fans will no longer see Gisele Bundchen on the catwalk, that doesn’t mean she will no longer work in the industry.

Far from it.

Still the world’s highest-paid model, Gisele Bundchen is currently the face of Chanel, Carolina Herrera, Pantene, and other major brands. She also designs her own line of flip flops and lingerie.

Gisele Bundchen confirmed that she will remain a fixture in the fashion industry in an Instagram post just prior to her last strut down the catwalk.

“Today after 20 years in the industry, it is a privilege to be doing my last fashion show by choice and yet still be working in other facets of the business. I am grateful that at 14, I was given the opportunity to start this journey.”

In an interview broadcast on the Globo television network Wednesday, as reported by CBS News, Gisele Bundchen compared her life to a cup of water filled to the brim.

“If your cup is full, how are you going to put more into it? I’m emptying my cup so I can put more things into it.”

The Associated Press noted that Gisele Bundchen’s final appearance was for the Brazilian label, Colcci.

For her final bow, Gisele Bundchen walked down the catwalk surrounded by a group of models, each sporting jeans and a t-shirt with different drawings of the world’s favorite model.
