Tiffany Gay Promposal: Special Needs Student’s Crush Asks Her To Prom In Heart-Warming Video

Tiffany Gay is a special needs student suffering from Prader-Willi Syndrome. The Texas sophomore has had a crush on Junior Luis Velasquez ever since she met him. However, little did she know that her Prince Charming would ask her to the prom. In the heart-warming prom proposal, Luis asks Tiffany to the prom with a series of special signs, flowers and music.

The “promposal” was captured on film as Luis asked Tiffany to the prom. The plan involved leading Tiffany from the school building during a fake fire drill. When she got outside, the impressive prom proposal involved students holding signs that read, “Will you go to prom with me?” At the end of the signs was Luis standing with a bouquet of flowers. To make the prom proposal a little more romantic, the Bruno Mars song “Just The Way You Are” played in the background.

Of course, Tiffany said yes and will be attending the prom with her very own Prince Charming. Luis’ mother, Jessica, tells ABC that ever since her son met Tiffany in seventh grade he has respected her for overcoming so many struggles with PWS. The disease can cause a number of symptoms including low muscle tone, short stature and a chronic feeling of hunger that can lead to obesity. Despite her struggle with the genetic disorder, Tiffany has managed to remain on the AB honor roll and keep a positive outlook on life.

Therefore, Jessica says her son has always said he would one day take Tiffany to prom as he knew she had a crush on him. Jessica says she is proud of her son for his caring nature.

“He’s a good kid. Not because he’s my son, but he is really a good kid. He has that nurturing, fathering personality. He’s always had it.”

Teachers at the school agree noting that Luis is one of the most giving students they have ever met.

What do you think about Tiffany’s dream prom proposal?
