TLC to Debut The Real Skinny Special
For the shows that reward contestants big loss weight, TLC is now giving us a show called The Real Skinny that documents the people who have lost weight and now need to fix the excess fat that they’ve acquired from shedding the pounds quickly. Excess fat can contribute to health problems, including not being able to complete simple physical tasks.
The new show will document the emotional journey of each person from their pre surgery figure to post. The patients Sarah and Chris will have to be “cut in half and put back together” in a circumference body lift to get rid of the excess fat.
However, the surgeries aren’t proven to be a perfect ending. A lot of surgeries can lead in death or infections, making this a dangerous but interesting topic to follow from beginning to end.
The Real Skinny premieres on TLC on Monday, March 12, at 10 PM.

As someone that has lost 191 lbs, this topic is very timely for me. I am in the process of consulting with plastic surgeons about having a series of surgeries to remove the excess skin that is hanging all over my body. It is fairly obvious that the author of this article is not someone who has lost a massive amount of weight. If the author had lost a lot of weight, the article would state that the excess SKIN needs to be removed, not excess fat. In order to get to the point where a person needs the excess skin removed, the person actually loses a great deal of fat leaving them looking like a deflated balloon.
