Has Manchester United’s David De Gea Already Agreed To Real Madrid Transfer?

David De Gea has reportedly already agreed to move to Real Madrid, however a transfer agreement is still yet to be figured out between Manchester United and the Spanish soccer giants.

David De Gea has been Manchester United’s stand-out performer this season, and because of his antics in the Old Trafford goal he has even been nominated for the PFA Player Of The Year award.

According to the Mirror, journalist Josep Pedrerol told Spanish television channel La Sexta that David De Gea has already “said yes to Real Madrid.” This is despite the presence of Spanish international goalkeeper Iker Casillas at Madrid, who Pederol insists won’t block a transfer for De Gea.

Pederol reveals, “David De Gea has said yes to Madrid. The Manchester United goalkeeper wants to wear the white of Real Madrid from next season. The club considered many options for the goalkeeping situation but have decided on De Gea. And David De Gea is clear… he wants to be the Real Madrid goalkeeper.”

De Gea, who originally transferred to Manchester United from Real’s rival Atletico Madrid, has been heavily linked to a move to the Bernabeu for the last few months. He is currently in the midst of contract renewal discussions with United since his deal is due to come to an end in the summer of 2016.

And Pederol insists that Casillas won’t get in the way of a potential transfer.

“One of the problems has been the future (or not) of Iker Casillas but this is no longer an impediment to the signing of De Gea,” he explained. In fact the only thing that is currently blocking De Gea’s move to Real Madrid is “an agreement between the clubs.”

David De Gea is currently regarded as the most in-form goalkeeper in the Premier League, and his impressive performances in the United goal have saved around a dozen points for his side.

According to the Express, De Gea is also well aware of his current form, and he is confident that he can keep out Chelsea in their game against the Stamford Bridge outfit tomorrow.

“It’s true that last season was good for me from a personal point of view,” remarked De Gea who won United’s player of the year award last season. “But I think things are going quite a bit better this time around. I think I’m competing better, performing well and I think my decision-making is a lot better this season… Now we have another massive game at Chelsea. It will be a tough game but we will be eager to try and pick up all three points.”
