Andy Cohen On Kim Richards’ Arrest: ‘I’m Thinking Of Her’

Andy Cohen has weighed in on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kim Richards’ recent arrest.

During an appearance on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM radio show, On Air With Ryan Seacrest, Andy Cohen spoke out, confirming he attempted to contact the Richards family after hearing the upsetting news.

“I reached out to Kyle and the family is obviously very concerned,” Andy Cohen told Seacrest, according to an April 17 report by Us Weekly.

“I don’t know exactly what happened, but I’m thinking of her. I’m glad she wasn’t hurt, and I hope it leads to some peaceful resolution for her and her family.”

Andy Cohen also addressed Richards’ April 16 arrest on Twitter. After a fan suggested he loved when his Real Housewives got into trouble, as it often resulted in publicity for the franchise, he claimed he hated to see the ladies go through hard times.

Richards, who was recruited for the Real Housewives by Andy Cohen years ago, was arrested on Thursday morning around 1:30 a.m. at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles. According to an E! News report, the reality star was “belligerent” and reeked of alcohol. After allegedly downing drinks at the hotel restaurant, Polo Lounge, Richards reportedly got cut off by the bartender on site. At that point, Richards was said to have become irate, and proceeded to lock herself in a bathroom, refusing to leave the area when asked by security.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Andy Cohen has not yet confirmed Richards’ return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for season six. He has, however, weighed in on Brandi Glanville’s possible exit from the show. During an episode of his web series, Ask Andy, Andy Cohen revealed the following:

“We don’t make any decisions about what’s happening with people until the season is well over. And I think it will be a conversation that we have with her about what we want to do.”

In February, prior to Andy Cohen’s statement, Glanville spoke to In Touch Weekly, claiming the fifth season may have been her last.

“I’m not sure how much longer I have on that show. Maybe it’s not for me anymore.”
