Katie, Suri Dress-Up Party: Holmes And Cruise Let Loose And Have Fun
It’s Katie and Suri dress-up time for the Holmes and Cruise clan apparently. Katie Holmes and her 8-year-old daughter, Suri Cruise, embraced some mother and daughter time, and it looks like they had a blast. While many fans are used to seeing the duo look fairly serious when they’re out together, Katie’s latest Instagram photos show they know how to have fun too.
Holmes posted a silly photo on Instagram on Wednesday showing her with Suri. The two were wearing oversized orange sunglasses, boas, and costume jewelry. Another photo showed the ladies with their hands meeting and they were covered in bright kid’s oversized rings.
Katie added the caption “Some serious bling #party city,” to the ring post. It would seem that the ladies may well have scoured Party City for all of the bright, fun, and outrageous accessories they could find.
Some wonder if the Katie and Suri dress-up party was a prelude to an upcoming birthday party for Miss Cruise. As People mentions, Suri turns 9-years-old on April 18, so some of Holmes’ followers wonder if the ladies were stocking up on goodies for a friend-filled day of celebration.
Holmes has been keeping plenty busy with work projects lately, but she’s always got plenty of time for her girl. Another recent Instagram photo showed Katie and Suri applying make-up together, a post that Holmes hashtagged with “#girltime.”
There are always plenty of supposed drama and frequent headlines regarding the cold relationship between Katie and ex-husband Tom Cruise, with allegations swirling that Tom spends very little time with Suri. Despite all of that, Katie and Suri seem to have found their groove and are clearly a tight-knit duo.
Katie and Suri may often look serious when caught out-and-about by the paparazzi, but they were all smiles recently when they attended the Kids’ Choice Awards in California. People shared some of the pictures from the event where it looked like Suri was having the time of her life, and Katie obviously enjoyed seeing her daughter having so much fun.
Holmes’ latest project, Woman in Gold, starring Helen Mirren and Ryan Reynolds, is in theaters now. Katie also recently starred in the film Mania Days, which also starred Luke Kirby, Christine Lahti, and Griffin Dunne. While she may be showcasing her serious side in her film work this year, the Katie and Suri dress-up party show that she’s still got a youthful, silly side as well.
