Jaden Smith Drops A New Single And His Father Will’s Name

Jaden Smith has been branching out as a rap artist for a while now through different media platforms. Smith decided to drop his new single, called “Offering,” yesterday.

Instead of promoting it on his own page, he decided to release the song on his little sister, Willow’s, Soundcloud page. While this is yet another song added to Jaden’s growing collection of tunes, this one stands out because Smith name drops his father, Will Smith, in his rap.

In the new track, Jaden spits, “My dad said to beat the system, understand it first / My dad’s an inspiration, I respect the man and work / And everything you say is something that you can’t reverse / Something that you can’t rehearse.”

For many people, Jaden represents the new movement that’s happening with the kids and teens of his generation. Although he got his feet wet with a few acting projects, to many he’s still one of the first famous children that’s simply famous for having two parents in the entertainment industry.

His generation of famous kids are the first to grow up and navigate through social media on their own. His generation is creating the blueprint on how to be famous and live on the Internet, which comes with a sense of self-promotion. Many choose to take on a public persona via different social networks, but for Jaden, it seems like he’s just sharing his thoughts and his music.

It’s not a surprise that Jaden is dipping into both acting and music. In an interview with Health magazine, Jada Pinkett-Smith opens up about her parenting style. “I think we have to have more trust in our children.”

She continued, “People have always gotten on us about not punishing the kids, and let me just talk to you about that for a minute. We raised three kids before Willow and Jaden, and especially on my goddaughter, I put so many boundaries on her — ‘No, you can’t do that, you can’t do this.’ And everything I tried to control, every freakin’ thing I was trying to avoid, happened.”

While Jaden and his sister, Willow, have been parodied for their out-of-this-world interviews, it doesn’t seem like it’s stopping them from expressing themselves and breaking any preconceived notions the public might have about them.

As the Inquisitr reported, Smith snagged headlines as he was photographed wearing a dress. His father, Will, continues to support Jaden’s choices both creatively and fashion wise. “He has refused to be a slave to money. I so respect that.”
