Halo 4 ‘First Look’ ViDoc Released
343 Industries and Microsoft have largely kept details on Halo 4 under wraps since its announcement back at E3 this year, but at Microsoft’s recent Spring Showcase event in San Francisco the two finally dropped some new details along with a new “First Look” Halo 4 trailer.
The video provides a lot of insight into how 343 Industries is approaching Halo 4. It’s certainly refreshing to see that Halo‘s new caretakers are more than willing to shake things up a bit and make a game that is still Halo, but with a fresh set of new ideas.
Most of the video focuses on the process behind the development, but we’re treated to quite a few gameplay sequences, albeit brief ones. From what little I was able to see in the first look video, Halo 4 is looking to be a very pretty game thanks to 343’s new engine.
Halo 4 is still without a proper release date, with the only word from Microsoft so far being that a holiday 2012 release is planned. You can expect to see more Halo 4 footage, and possibly even a release date, when E3 kicks off this June.
