Lisa Vanderpump On Kim Richards And Brandi Glanville’s Friendship: ‘I Doubt There’s Been Much Interaction’ Since Cameras Stopped Rolling

Lisa Vanderpump questions whether Kim Richards’ and Brandi Glanville’s friendship remains intact since the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has finished its fifth season. The RHOBH star says she doubts it. Was it all for the cameras?

After the fifth season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills came to an end, many fans were left wondering if Brandi Glanville and Kim Richards are still as close as they appeared to be during filming of the show. In her Bravo blog published Wednesday, Lisa Vanderpump shares her opinion on the topic. According to the RHOBH star, Kim seemed strengthened by her friendship with Brandi during this season, but she doubts the two have much contact these days, implying the two were only friends for the cameras.

“I think upon reflection, it has been pretty obvious after months of filming the intent of some to insert themselves into an already fractious situation. Kim obviously felt bolstered by BG, much to her detriment, as she became a victim of her own volatility. I doubt since filming has wrapped whether there has been much interaction between BG and Kim. It would surprise me greatly if this supposedly close relationship is still flourishing.”

Lisa Vanderpump also commented on the fractured relationship of Kyle Richards and sister Kim, but says her biggest concern this season was Brandi Glanville’s attempts to split the sisters further apart, as if they the two needed help with that.

“What concerned me this season was the manipulative attempt by BG to undermine Kyle and to validate any negativity that Kim was feeling, salaciously stating what a wonderful friend she was and how totally unsupportive Kyle has been.”

Lisa points out that Kyle supporting Kim all these years through her alcoholism, offering financial support when needed, and the emotional toll Kim’s struggles have had on Kyle is not something that can or should be ignored. Brandi, she says, has only a few months of experience with the sisters’ relationship under the “glare of reality television.”

As fans saw throughout the three-part Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion, Kim Richards refused to answer questions about her sobriety, her dog biting Kyle’s daughter, what secret she is threatening to expose about her sister, and Harry Hamlin, even though these were all topics she brought up at some point during the season. Lisa takes issue with the fact that Kim is part of a reality TV show, yet says certain topics are not up for discussion.

“It baffles me once again as to the arrogance as to state what is off limits. How many scenarios can we excuse? Dogs? Children? House? Sobriety? Our business became your business when we entered into your living room. We should strive for transparency, and we should deal with consequences as we profit from the benefits.”

Lisa Vanderpump is not the only cast member to question Kim’s refusing to answer for her behavior or comments. Eileen Davidson also took to her Bravo blog on Tuesday to say that in that regard, Kim Richards acts like a “dictator.”

“Kim thinks she gets to decide what we can talk about and what we can’t. She acts like a dictator, saying and doing whatever she pleases, then tells Lisa R. and Kyle to stop bringing things up. She even shushed Lisa VP.”

After all that has happened this season, it will be interesting to see if Bravo will ask Kim Richards or Brandi Glanville to return to the show. Although Kim does not want anyone “butting into her business,” the Inquisitr recently reported she welcomes the chance to come back for the sixth season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
