‘RHOA’ Confrontation: Phaedra Parks Says Claudia Jordan Was ‘Inappropriate’ While NeNe Leakes Was ‘Respectful’

Phaedra Parks has some strong feelings about the confrontation that happened between NeNe Leakes and Claudia Jordan at her Save Our Sons Event, which was shown on Sunday night’s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Phaedra’s latest blog post, posted on Tuesday, made clear that she places the blame for the confrontation on Claudia, not NeNe.

Phaedra believes that Claudia is the one to blame.

“NeNe came all the way from New York just to support my event, and that was really above-and-beyond anything I would expect anyone to do, so I was very appreciative. After the incident occurred I was thinking two things: one, how inappropriate it was for Claudia to initiate that conversation at my event and two, how respectful NeNe was in not wanting to engage in such nonsense at the event by removing herself in order to prevent an unpleasant experience.”

At Phaedra’s event, NeNe and Claudia, as well as Cynthia and Porsha, were working in the kitchen to help serve the food. As they were serving the food, Claudia brought up to NeNe the video that she and the others made for her at Dr. Jeff’s group therapy session, which she had walked out of. NeNe replied that she thought the video was very phony and that she doesn’t like to be treated as the “captain of the ship done wrong” when everyone’s hands have been dirty.

Claudia, backed by Cynthia, disagreed and argued with NeNe. When NeNe started walking away, Claudia chided her for always walking away, to which NeNe replied that Claudia is not a friend and not important to her. Upon arriving at the event, Kenya Moore pulled Claudia back from the confrontation. The exchange was so heated that the event attendees in the conference room could even hear their voices.

After the scene aired, Claudia responded to a viewer who crticized her for what happened.

“Having a calm polite conversation with someone is disrespectful and inappropriate. Ok lady.. have a good day. #ItsATVShowDUH.”

It’s not surprising that Phaedra Parks would fault Claudia Jordan and NeNe Leakes for the heated exchange at her motivational event for African-American young men. While Phaedra and Claudia have not had any direct drama so far on this season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Claudia has had plenty of drama with Phaedra’s friends and allies, NeNe and Porsha Williams. During the women’s trip to the Philippines, during a one-on-one breakfast, Claudia tried to get Phaedra to open up about her divorce, only for Phaedra to curtly reply that she’s not going to talk about that with her.

In contrast, Phaedra has made clear how much NeNe has been there for her throughout her drama with Apollo Nida. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, during Phaedra’s recent appearance on the Steve Harvey Show, Phaedra Parks said that both NeNe Leakes and Porsha Williams, but especially NeNe, have been the only housewives to be supportive of her during her difficult time.

“And so NeNe, you know, she has been the person who has called me every day, sent me texts just to make sure I was OK and just really been very supportive. You know, we’re not the best of friends, but she has been a wonderful friend throughout this ordeal.”
