Amber Portwood & Catelynn Lowell Explain Their Feuds With ‘Teen Mom’ Co-Star Farrah Abraham

Amber Portwood and the cast of Teen Mom OG have an up and down relationship with their co-star, Farrah Abraham, for the last couple of years.

After Teen Mom wrapped after Season 4 in 2012, Amber Portwood and her co-stars went their separate ways. However, while the majority of the women focused on bettering themselves, going to school, or getting an education, Abraham went on to release an adult film, a line of adult toys, and an erotic trilogy.

Although everyone is certainly entitled to do whatever it is their heart desires, many members of the cast felt Abraham’s choices were inappropriate, and would have a negative impact on her daughter.

During a taping of the Teen Mom OG: After Show, Amber Portwood and her co-stars spoke about their issues with Abraham.

“Honestly, I feel two ways about Farrah,” Amber Portwood explained, according to an April 14 report by Wetpaint Entertainment.

“I see her when she’s rude, and then I see her when she’s crying and she’s actually hurt because she was rejected in the beginning … She had every single right to feel that way. But then again, it’s how you come across when you talk about it and with your classmates, and burning bridges with everybody.”

According to Catelynn Lowell, her issues with Abraham stem from Abraham’s inability to express emotion.

“From day one she’s never really been open with any of us since 16 and Pregnant. Never has really expressed how she feels.”

Maci Bookout was more blunt.

“One thing I don’t understand is the way she talks to people. You just don’t treat people that way no matter how you’re feeling. If she feels a certain way, there’s a way to get that across without being so ugly. You don’t have to be so mean.”

In other Amber Portwood news, the reality star recently revealed plans to file for custody of her daughter, Leah. In June, 2012, ahead of her 17-month prison stint, Amber Portwood gave up her rights to Gary Shirley, but now that she is out, she’s wanting more time.

While Amber Portwood and Shirley have been able to co-parent for the last year-and-a-half, Portwood has since grown frustrated with Shirley’s rules, and is determined to spend more time with her daughter — even if it means having to take legal action against Shirley.
