’19 Kids And Counting’: Josiah Duggar And Marjorie Jackson Got Courtship Help From Jill Duggar

Josiah Duggar’s family is getting very involved in his courtship with Marjorie Jackson, and their aid goes beyond making sure that he doesn’t engage in any hand-holding, front-hugging, or kissing.

19 Kids and Counting fans know that dating is a family affair in the Duggar household — a Duggar can’t go on a date unless a chaperone accompanies him/her. Luckily for Jim Bob and Michelle, they don’t always have to keep an eye on their courting kids because they have a small army of spy spawn to do the dirty work for them. However, Josiah Duggar’s siblings aren’t just making his life hell by watching his every move — Jill Duggar found a nicer way to help her brother out. The new mom gifted 18-year-old Josiah and 17-year-old Marjorie Jackson with a very special compatibility questionnaire.

According to PEOPLE, Jill created a massive list of questions to ask Derick Dillard at the very beginning of their courtship. It was her very methodical way of getting to know her future husband. Obviously, the list worked for Jill and Derick, so maybe Josiah and Marjorie will have similar luck.

“We did get through that packet,” Josiah told PEOPLE. “It was amazing. Every single question you could ever think of was in there.”

The couple went through some of the questions with Marjorie Jackson’s parents, and Marjorie’s father claims that the young couple has “welcomed the parental involvement.” However, Josiah Duggar joked that he’s already trying to think of ways to bribe his young chaperones so that he and Marjorie can get a little more alone time together. According to Ben Seewald, Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard discovered that Skittles are very effective.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Josiah Duggar’s ladylove Marjorie is the half-Guatemalan daughter of his Spanish teacher. The lovebirds have known each other for a few years, but sparks didn’t fly until they attended the same mission trip in El Salvador last December.

Marjorie has a lot in common with Josiah’s sisters. According to Starcasm, she enjoys playing piano, and she’s an author just like Jill, Jessa, Jinger, and Jana Duggar. Marjorie’s book is a Bible study guide titled The Greatest Book You’ve Never Read: Why the Bible Is Not Only Exciting, But It Will Change Your Life! Luckily for Josiah, Michelle Duggar is a huge fan of Marjorie. The 19 Kids and Counting matriarch helped promote the teen’s book by giving it a glowing review. Marjorie and Michelle both spoke at the NWA Beautiful Girls Retreat earlier this year.

According to Us Weekly, Jessa Duggar and Jill Duggar are both excited about Josiah and Marjorie’s courtship. They both shared the Instagram photo of the cute couple below, and they let 19 Kids and Counting fans know that Josiah is going to document his courtship on his new Instagram page. Josiah and Marjorie will also share a special message about their budding relationship during tonight’s episode of 19 Kids and Counting.

Many fans of the TLC series share the Duggar family’s excitement for Josiah’s courtship, but some viewers are probably surprised the young teen is the latest member of the family to find love. Many 19 Kids and Counting fans have been impatiently waiting for Jana Duggar to leave her Cinderella life behind, and others thought that Joseph Duggar would start courting Tori Bates.
