For that fried chicken taste, try Obama fingers next time you’re in Germany

A German company is now selling fried chicken strips under the brand name of “Obama fingers.”

Before jumping to the wrong conclusion about a product from a company that’s most famous export is its army, the connotation isn’t intentional. The company behind the product said that it wasn’t aware of the stereo-type about African Americans and fried chicken, and had picked the name to cash in on Obama’s global popularity.

Just for good measure, Spiegel also explains that the fingers aren’t actual fingers, because apparently Germans don’t get that part of the name either.

    I think the Obama chicken fingers are GREAT! I do not care if the German Company did not know of the sterotype of African Americans eating fried chicken. I only wish that Americans would have the courage and creativity to do something similar; however, if we did anything like this in the United States, we would be accused of being bigots, prejudice, racists, right-wing radicals, bitter, pathetic, and a disgrace to society. Heck, a whit morning radio show hosts was fired because he made a reference to an all ladies college team's hair because the players were black. A Conservative Senator was forced to resign because he said something at the 100 birthday party of a retired southern senator, yet the Democrats – Barack's Party – does not seem to care if they have a senator who was a member of the KKK or Barack's pastor of 20 + years openly promotes “Black Supremecy” and violence against caucasion Americans. There is a big double standard, and unfortunately, our President is suppose to be the President for the people, by the people. I am still waiting for all that hope and change. It seems to me that other Countries, such as Germany, currently have more rights that Americans – especially white, conservative Americans. Did anyone care if a company made Voo Doo President Bush dolls or referred to him as Hitler? No! And, President Bush did more for African Americans, the people of Africa, and the disabled than anyother President. So, I say GO FOR IT GERMANY! WHERE DO I GET SOME OF THE OBAMA CHICKEN FINGERS?
