Kathy Wakile Denies She Was Brought On ‘RHONJ’ By Melissa Gorga, Explains Casting Process

Kathy Wakile and Melissa Gorga have been accused, many times, of joining The Real Housewives of New Jersey to feud with Teresa Giudice, Wakile’s cousin and Gorga’s sister-in-law.

According to Giudice, Gorga had it out for her when she joined the show for the series’ third season, and brought Wakile on the show with her so Giudice would be outnumbered by her family members. However, Kathy Wakile claims Giudice’s allegations are not true.

In an April 13 interview with Real Mr. Housewife, Kathy Wakile addressed the rumors, explaining, “No one brought me on the show! I was interviewed by casting before Melissa and I kept dismissing the emails.”

“My first correspondence with anyone from casting was way back in early March or April of 2010. We didn’t start filming until late October.”

As for Giudice’s claim that Gorga and Kathy Wakile waited until the day before filming to signs their contracts in an effort to surprise her on film, Wakile insisted, “I didn’t sign my contract until a day before I started filming because I wasn’t sure about joining the show.”

“Teresa can claim anything she wants about why I came on, but that simply doesn’t make it the truth. We made up publicly on the show and we made up privately, but it seems to me like she’s continuing to rehash stuff that happened years ago. It doesn’t seem like she has changed if she is going to keep doing this.”

Kathy Wakile went on to explain that no matter what happens on the show or otherwise, she will always love and care for Giudice, as well as her four children.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Kathy Wakile and a number of other Bravo reality stars, including Reza Farahan, Tom Sandoval, and Jenni Pulos are reportedly in talks for their own View-like series on Bravo.

In March, Rumorfix first reported on the series, claiming Kathy Wakile would be joined by several network mates from shows, such as Friends To Lovers, Top Chef, Millionaire Matchmaker, and more. At the time of the report, the site claimed Andy Cohen may be involved, but it wasn’t yet clear what role he would play.

The unnamed series is expected to begin filming by the end of the year, and will likely air sometime during the day on Bravo.

Kathy Wakile has yet to release a statement regarding her future on The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
